Who We Are and What We Do
The Music Guild of New Mexico (formerly the New Mexico Symphony Guild) is a volunteer organization committed to supporting music and the arts through financial, educational, and promotional activities.
The talented and diverse members of the Guild educate and build community relationships to ensure our musical legacy through support of nonprofit musical organizations and nonprofit music education programs in New Mexico.
The Music Guild provides members with opportunities for friendship, fun, worthwhile endeavors, networking, and personal growth.
One of the primary goals of the Music Guild is to facilitate music education through award-winning programs such as Peter and the Wolf, where Music Guild Docents conduct audio and visual presentations to children at libraries throughout Albuquerque.
Other popular programs sponsored by the Music Guild include
- Youth Concerts,
- Jackie McGehee Young Artists' Competition for Piano and Strings,
- and the Señorita Program
Every Spring, the Music Guild presents the Señoritas to the community at the annual Señorita Ball. For more information about the Music Guild, our programs and social events, visit the Señorita area.
