Alicia Peng, the 2025 Music Guild of New Mexico’s Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Competition 2nd place winner in strings, will solo with the New Mexico Philharmonic at the Youth Concerts on September 16 and 18, 2025, in Popejoy Hall. There are two concerts each day starting at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The concerts allow about 10,000 fourth and fifth grade students from local school districts to experience classical music.
Alicia is 16 years old and a junior at La Cueva High School. She has played the violin since the age of 4 and has competed in the JMYAC for the last 3 years.
The Music Guild of New Mexico provides ushers for the concerts.
