June 2021

  • With the State of New Mexico Covid-19 restrictions being fully lifted on July 1st, we are excited to announce that the number of attendees for the Señorita Ball on July 3rd is now unlimited. Please join us for a fabulous formal evening of dinner, dancing, and the presentation of our lovely 2021 Señoritas, as well as Señoritas from 2020 who were unable to have a Ball due to Covid-19. May 2021

  • In keeping with our 60+ years of tradition, the 2021 Class of Music Guild Señoritas will be presented on July 3, 2021, at Hotel Albuquerque. This magical evening will also include our Senoritas from 2020, who could not be presented last year due to the pandemic.

March 2021

  • Due to the pandemic, the Music Guild of New Mexico has decided to postpone opening its annual grants application until May 2021. March 2020

  • Silver Horizon Senior Hall of Fame Honors Jackie McGehee Congratulations to Jackie McGehee, Founder and Artistic Director of the Music Guild of New Mexico’s Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Concerto Competition for Piano and Strings. She is one of four 2020 inductees into the Silver Horizon’s Senior Hall of Fame, which celebrates a special group of people who care about our community and show it through volunteerism.
  • Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the March 18th Membership Luncheon has been postponed until May 20th. Thank you and stay healthy!
  • With the outbreak of Coronavirus in New Mexico and following the recommendations from the State of New Mexico Department of Health, the Board of Directors of the Music Guild of New Mexico voted to postpone the Señorita Ball that was to be held at the end of this month. Thankfully, our vendors have been able to accommodate this unprecedented decision. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 6th for the 63rd Senorita Ball to be held at the beautiful Sandia Resort & Casino Ballroom.  The Pink Flamingos will still be entertaining our members and guests!

February 2020

  • Prodigies: A Million Dreams Saturday, March 7th 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe Kayden Kelly, the third place piano winner in the 2020 Jackie McGehee Young Artists' Competition, will be one of the three featured artists, who are all twelve years old. Featured performers are:
  • The 28th Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Competition for Piano and Strings was held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, in the recital hall at Robertson & Sons Violin Shop. The winners are as follows:
